CGBIO, the first unveiling AATB-certified human tissue skin graft material in the US

Unveiling human tissue skin graft materials such as CG Derm one-step, CG Derm Matrix, and CG Reallo Putty
After obtaining AATB certification last year, the first unveiling to the home country… continuing interest from the industry
The SVF separation system ‘Cellunit’ and the breast massager ‘Beluna’ also receive high interest in the local area.

CGBio (representative director Hyun Seung Yu), a company specializing in bio-regenerative medicine, announced on the 10th that they participated in the American Society of Plastic Surgery (Plastic Surgery The Meeting, PSTM 2022) held in Boston, USA, from October 27 to 30 and presented its human tissue product, skin graft material CG Derm one-Step, CG Derm matrix, and CG Reallo Putty to the US market for the first time.

In addition, CGBio was the only Korean company to acquire quality management system certification from the American Associate of Tissue Banks (AATB) last year. It is more meaningful to release these products for the first time in Korea in the process of planning to enter the US.

PSTM is a society attending more than 2,500 plastic surgeons from around the world every year, and is the largest plastic surgery conference in the United States. CGBIO is known to be the only Korean company that participated in this year’s PSTM to exhibit skin graft products at its promotional booth.

CG Dern one step is a regenerative tissue matrix (RTM) skin graft material made of allodermal material and can be used for breast reconstruction for patients who have undergone total mastectomy.

CG Dern matrix and CG Reallo Putty are skin graft materials to which the Micronized Collagen Fiber (MCF) method is applied, which finely pulverize allogeneic dermal tissue and produce them in the form of a net, they can be used for skin reconstruction and partial mastectomy due to burns and trauma, respectively.

CGBIO operated a booth at PSTM and promoted these products, having the attention of many companies and industry officials. In addition to human tissue products, CGBIO said that they received proposals for joint research or business collaboration of Cellunit, a fully automatic autologous adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) separation system, and Beluna, a breast massager using negative pressure, from some companies.

Cellunit is a medical device that medical staff separates and purifies SVF from adipose tissue extracted from subjects using centrifugation, all processes can be performed automatically within 45 minutes with a single button. Belluna is a breast massager exclusively for women developed on the principle of continuously stimulating tissue using negative pressure to provide and fill the nutrient supply path necessary for cell proliferation and differentiation.

Hyun Seung Yu, the representative director of CGBIO, said, “It is very encouraging that most of the products exhibited at the largest plastic surgery conference in the United States attracted a lot of attention. In particular, human tissue products are the only company in Korea that has obtained AATB certification, so we will strive to actively target overseas markets, including the United States, beyond Korea in the future.”
