On January 11, bio-regenerative medicine company CGBIO (CEO Hyun-seung Yu) announced that the company has launched the EASYDEWMD REGEN CREAM (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Regen Cream’).
The MD Cream was a cream developed for the purpose of protecting the skin barrier damaged by disease or external irritation, unlike general skincare moisturizers. Therefore, it was classified as a class 2 medical device (mucilaginous transparent wound dressing).
The Regen Cream is a wound dressing that is used to protect areas where the skin barrier has been destroyed due to dry skin and other conditions. It consists of a ratio of 3:1:1 (ceramide, free fatty acid, and cholesterol), which is identical to the skin’s lipid structure. It helps the skin barrier to recover quickly upon application on the skin. Therefore, aside from dry skin, it can also be used for the following: Moisture management for ▲atopic skin inflammation, ▲skin barrier damage after radiation exposure, ▲first-degree burn, ▲skin moisture management for geroderma patients, ▲post-surgery skin barrier management, and ▲improvement in itchy sensation after physical therapy, etc. The product comes available in two sizes: 18g and 150g.
The biggest difference from the prior EASYDEW MD CREAM is that it contains the ‘Neopep-S’ substance. Neopep-S is a peptide substance that originates from aminoacyl tRNA synthetase complex interacting with multifunctional protein 1 (AIMP1), which is a protein that controls cell signals related to blood vessel formation, wound recovery, and stem cell vitalization. It is a substance known to be effective in skin barrier recovery along with wrinkle care and skin whitening. This ingredient is being supplied exclusively to CGBIO in Korea.
Regen Cream was proven to maintaindeep moisturization under the skin for up to 48 hours after just a single use, and it can forman even stronger skin barrier before initial skin damage through clinical trials. Furthermore, it does not contain any of the 11 harmful substances that could have negative impact on the skin nor odoriferous substances that could cause allergic reactions, so it is safe to use.
