The Korean regenerative biopharmaceutical firm CGBIO has recently moved its headquarters to Hannam Building located in Hannam-dong, a global culture center in Seoul, as part of its efforts to keep up with the explosive growth of the company. With this relocation of its headquarters, CGBIO has a triangle system, i.e., Global Challenge Center (headquarters) in Seoul, Seongnam R&D Center in Gyeonggi-do, and Hyangnam New Plant S-Campus in Hwaseong.
After its inception in 2006, CGBIO has pioneered its ultramodern regenerative medicine sector to enhance the quality of life of mankind under a slogan ‘Create Today, Better Tomorrow’.
To deal with the non-face-to-face trend during the COVID-19 pandemic, the new Global Challenge Center houses a seminar room (for 25 people) equipped with sophisticated video conference equipment, a conference room (4-8 people) for free discussion and gathering, a business focus room without adjacent noise or disturbance, and a lounge where employees are freely relaxed and come up with creative ideas in a discussion atmosphere.
To date, CGBIO has devoted itself to the welfare of employees and gained a number of awards, such as family-friendly enterprise, excellent job-creating enterprise, and equal employment opportunity for men and women (President Award for Industrial Citation). In its newly relocated headquarters, all offices and furniture are arranged ergonomically so that all employees can be engaged in their tasks in a cozy environment while installing a fine dust reduction device and ventilation system.
In a move to join social distancing trends due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and prevent the spread of infections, CGBIO decided not to hold any ceremony to cerebrate the relocation of its headquarters. In addition, CGBIO will endeavor to prevent the spread of the virus via a variety of measures such as wearing of protective masks for all employees, fever checks, and work from home when COVID-19 infection is suspected.
“CGBIO, which commands the largest share in the local regenerative sector for skin and bone, has relocated its headquarters to Hannam-dong, a typical global culture center in Seoul with a goal to become a global leader based on its excellent K-bio technology,” said CGBIO CEO Hyun Seung Yu.
“We will strive to change the headquarters name from Global Challenge Center to Global Success Center by challenging the global market boldly and strategically.”
