Indonesian Doctors Deepen Their Knowledge of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Through a Visit to Korea
Contributing to elevating Indonesia’s spine disease treatment standards through the transfer of advanced medical technologies.

CGBio(CEO Hyun-seung Yu) and Innosys (CEO Ju-mi Chung), conducted a training program for Indonesian medical professionals on minimally invasive spine surgery using the L’DISQ device.

CGBio is a regenerative medicine specialist company that leverages its biomaterial technology to conduct business in various fields including bone/spinal, surgical, wound care, and aesthetics. Innosys, on the other hand, is a company that researches, develops, and manufactures orthopedic implants such as spinal fixation devices and metal implants, and is best known for developing the L’DISQ, a spinal pain treatment device.

This educational program is designed to transfer advanced Korean medical technologies to Indonesian orthopedic surgeons, aiming to enhance the level of spinal disease treatment in Indonesia and contribute to the improvement of the Indonesian people’s health. Innosys and CGBio are actively supporting Indonesian medical professionals to effectively apply the knowledge they have learned in their home country through high-quality educational programs.

In collaboration with Hando Hospital, a pioneer in advanced spinal procedures, CGBio has organized an observational training program utilizing Innosys’s L’DISQ, a directional spinal pain treatment device employing microelectrodes. Indonesian medical professionals participated in the program, gaining in-depth knowledge of minimally invasive spinal procedures through live surgery observations and case studies. Notably, they witnessed firsthand how patients who previously required surgery could now experience pain relief through non-surgical treatment.

L’DISQ is the world’s first directional spinal pain treatment device designed to treat lower back pain and leg pain caused by disc herniation due to increased intradiscal pressure. By inserting a 1mm-thin cannula through the skin and guiding a steerable needle to the herniated disc, it delivers precise high-frequency plasma energy to selectively remove the targeted disc tissue. This allows for treatment of lesions located at difficult angles and offers the advantage of rapid recovery through a minimally invasive procedure.

L’DISQ is currently expanding its global market presence, focusing on Asian countries such as China, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore. Building on these successful market entries, the company aims to further solidify its position in the global market.

“I am deeply honored to have had the opportunity to share our latest technologies and expertise in spinal treatment with Indonesian medical professionals through this educational program,” said Chung Ju-mi, CEO of Innosys. “Building upon our collaboration with Daewoong Group, we will continue to strive to make substantial contributions to improving the local healthcare standards in Indonesia through our advanced products and technologies. Ultimately, our goal is to enhance the health and quality of life for the Indonesian people.”
