Bio-regenerative medical company CGBio (CEO: Hyun Seung Yu) participated in the “Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) Latin America 2023,” held in Medellin, Colombia, from October 19 to 21 of this month. During the event, the company announced on the 26th a deal to supply its collagen regenerative filler “FACETEM,” and hyaluronic acid (HA) filler “Aileene” to Colombia and Venezuela for a value of 10 billion won ($7.4 million) over the next three years.
AMWC is an academic conference in the field of plastic surgery and beauty clinics. At the conference held in Colombia, lectures and workshops targeted to over a thousand health care professionals and industry practitioners in the South American region were held. Over 70 major companies participated in the exhibition to showcase their latest technologies and products related to anti-aging.
During the event, CGBio set up an independent booth and presented its flagship products, including the collagen regenerative filler FACETEM, hyaluronic acid filler Aileene, and Giselleligne lifting thread EXOFT.
In addition, a contract was signed during this conference for the supply of FACETEM and Aileene to Colombia and Venezuela, with a total value of $7.4 million over three years. Meetings were also held with distributors and numerous key opinion leaders from Latin American countries to explore the potential for substantial business expansion within the region.
FACETEM, the collagen regenerative filler, has a high biocompatibility, with its primary ingredient being calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA). It offers a duration of approximately 18 to 24 months, which is over three times longer than hyaluronic acid fillers. Furthermore, FACETEM can also be used as a collagen stimulator for the restoration of damaged skin structures and improvement of elasticity, making it highly versatile.
In addition, Dr. Gustavo Madrid, a Colombian physician, held a lecture on “Clinical advanced techniques & practical considerations in the use of calcium hydroxyapatite for facial rejuvenation,” which drew substantial audience attention.
In this lecture, Dr. Madrid highlighted the excellence of FACETEM, which incorporates CGBio’s proprietary hydroxyapatite processing technology. He discussed various indications and procedural techniques, including mid-face lifting, jawline enhancement, and lower eyelid groove improvement, achieved through the exclusive use of FACETEM or its combination with hyaluronic acid fillers, providing live demonstrations that garnered significant interest.
Hyun Seung Yu, CEO of CGBio, expressed the significance of participating in the conference, saying, “It was meaningful to introduce our company’s products with proprietary technology to healthcare professionals in the South American region.” He also mentioned, “We plan to expand business actively in the Latin American cosmetic and plastic surgery market based on the contracts secured during this conference.”
