CGBio, specializing in bio regenerative medicine (representative Hyun Seung Yu) announced on the 15th their recent participation in “Spine Week 2023”, an international spine conference held in Melbourne, Australia.
Spine Week is the world’s largest spine conference held every four years. It brings together renowned spine specialists from all around the world, serving as a platform for sharing the recent advances and therapies in the field of spine and bone diseases. It is attended by eminent academic societies such as North American Spine Society (NASS) and Brazil Spine Society (BSS).
At Spine Week, CGBio set up an independent booth to present their flagship products, which are ▲NOVOSIS, a bone substitute incorporating bone generative protein, ▲NOVOMAX, a cervical disc substitute, ▲Excender, a next generation height extended cage, ▲EASYMADE-CF, a patient-customized artificial bone created using 3D printing technology, and ▲ALLOMIX, an allogenic bone graft approved by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB).
In addition, CGBio showcased Patient Specific Implants platform (PSI), which is a patient-customized 3D implant printing system. The platform garnered significant attention and appreciation from medical professionals specializing in spine and bone worldwide. It employs a process where CT data provided by hospitals are uploaded to CGBio’s cloud. Subsequently, implant modeling is performed at CGBio’s design center, and the final designs are then printed at printing centers in each country.
CGBio also announced that they won orders amounting to approximately 800,000 Australian dollars (equivalent to about KRW720 million) during the period of exhibition.
Apart from Spine Week, CGBio also organized a seminar titled Innovations of Cervical Surgery at Intercontinental Rialto Hotel in the region. At the seminar, key opinion leaders in spine implants from all around the world shared the recent advances in surgical care for cervical vertebrae, and different clinical experiences where Novomax, a cervical disc substitute made with high-strength bioactivity ceramic called Bioactive Glass Ceramics (BGS-7) was utilized, attracting significant attention from professionals in the field.
