Principles of action

Mediclore is a mixed solution of a highly biocompatible water-soluble polymer composition capable of Sol-Gel transition. It exists as Sol (liquid) at room temperature and becomes a highly viscous gel when it reaches body temperature after being applied to the human body. It is a physical barrier and, while wounds in the tissue are cured, is effective in preventing adhesions from forming by providing a lubricating surface between adjacent tissues or organs

Intended use

It is a dressing for deep-cavity wound and it is mainly used to reduce adhesion after spine surgery.

Preparations before use

1. Check any abnormalities in the packaging conditions and check whether or not to attach the sterilization label and the sterilization status.
2. Check the terms of validity.
3. Allergies and other responses to product materials should be considered. (Including allergies to shellfish and gelatin)
4. The operator must be sufficiently familiar with the handling and operations before using it.
5. It must be used only after being acquainted with the instructions.
6. The end-use doctors and institutions must store the product in an appropriate storage environment before use.

Operating method and use method

An aseptic technique must be continuously used to minimize the risk of post-operative complications.

1. Remove the cleaning solution used during surgery and check for hemostasis on the wound surface.
2. Remove the double packaging and hand the inner packaging to the surgical participant wearing sterile clothing while paying attention not to contaminate it.
3. Check whether or not there is any damage to the internal packaging materials.
4. After removing the inner packaging, pull out the syringe, remove the cap in the front and install the catheter.
5. Slowly push the syringe pusher and inject the contents so that they are fully applied to the surgical site.
6. Do not re-use the remaining contents after using them once.
